GTS was responsible for identifying groundwater, soils, geology, floodplains, and hydrology within the Karst terrain of the Valley Creek Basin. The information was used to prepared a watershed-wide GIS database to perform stormwater analysis computation and to identify areas suitable for stormwater mitigation. The potential sites were field verified for suitability and analysis and testing will be completed to determine optimum sites for base flow recharge and water quality enhancement by wetland treatment. Floodplain and natural channel restoration by fluvial geomorphologic methods is also proposed.
