Project Geotechnical Engineer:

Project Geotechnical Engineer with 8-10 years experience. PE required, Master's Degree with Geotechnical focus, and PennDOT and PTC experiences preferred.

Strong project management and verbal/written communications skills required. Must be able to execute tasks independently and mentor junior staff after developing task objectives from Department Manager, as well as provide QA reviews of junior staff work efforts.

Soils Lab and Field Technician:

Lab Technician performs testing under the supervision of Lab Supervisor. Laboratory work includes, but not limited to, soil/rock/concrete laboratory testing, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and calibrations. Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to properly perform laboratory tests independently.

Field Technician performs testing under the supervision of Lab Supervisor. Laboratory work includes, but not limited to, soil/rock/concrete laboratory testing, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and calibrations.      Job Requirements:
  • A current ACI Certification - preferred, not required.
  • A current PennDOT Certified Drilling Inspector - preferred, not required.

  • Be able to complete testing assignments in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and use all equipment in the prescribed manner.
  • Follow and support all safety procedures and policies.

Office Survey Technician:

An experienced survey technician to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying, civil, and transportation engineering in our Harrisburg, PA office. Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail oriented individual interested in joining our Land Surveying department. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment as a key member of an office survey team assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way acquisition, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing MicroStation and/or Civil 3D technologies. The position has opportunity for advancement for a motivated individual willing to grow with the changing skills and technology.

     Responsibilities:
  • Assist the survey manager with all aspects of the daily office workload.
  • Supervise the survey crews in the absence of the survey manager.
  • Work independently as required.
  • Daily uploading and downloading of data collectors.
  • Daily MicroStation and/or Civil 3D tasks.
  • Perform Computer-aided design and drafting.
  • Perform construction stakeout computations.
  • Prepare plans for Boundary Surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, and PennDOT right-of-way surveys.
  • Assisting with survey computations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Continually advance knowledge with upgrades in technology.

     Required Skills & Experience:
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Surveying is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Micro Station.
  • PennDOT right-of-way, construction staking and as-built survey experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Carlson Survey Software, Trimble Access, Leica LGO, Carlson SurvCE software a plus.
  • Must be able to take direction from the survey manager.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be reliable.




Survey Instrument Operator:

An experienced instrument operator to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying, civil, and transportation engineering in our Harrisburg, PA office. Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail oriented individual interested in joining our Land Surveying department. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment as a key member of a survey crew assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way acquisition, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology. The position has opportunity for advancement for a motivated individual willing to grow with the changing skills and technology required of a Land Surveyor.

     Responsibilities:
  • Assist the field supervisor with all aspects of the daily crew workload.
  • Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.
  • Supervise the survey crew in the absence of the crew chief.
  • Work independently as a one person crew as required.
  • Daily uploading and downloading of data collectors.
  • Daily care and charging of instrumentation.
  • Continually advance knowledge with upgrades in technology.

     Required Skills & Experience:
  • Survey instrument operation experience required.
  • Must have a High School Diploma (Minimum).
  • Must have good Mathematical skills.
  • Must have good computer skills.
  • Must be proficient with the use of Leica and Trimble survey equipment. (GPS, Robotics, Total Stations, Levels, and Data Collectors).
  • Must be proficient with Carlson SurvCE and data collection software.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license in order to operate company vehicle.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions.
  • Have the ability to work out of town, flexible with work area.




Survey Crew Chief:

An experienced Party Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying, civil, and transportation engineering in our Harrisburg, PA office. Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail oriented individual interested in joining our Land Surveying department. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment as a lead member of a survey crew performing boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology.

     Responsibilities:
  • Perform land survey aspects of civil and transportation engineering projects.
  • Perform Construction Stakeout.
  • Field work associated with land surveying.
  • Perform Boundary Surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, PennDOT right-of-way surveys.
  • Assisting with survey computations and data collection.
  • Perform Computer-aided drafting and design.
  • Other duties as assigned.

     Required Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Surveying is preferred.
  • Able to operate Conventional Total Stations, Robotic Total Stations, GPS, static, RTK, RTN.
  • Familiarity with Trimble and/or Leica Robotics, Carlson Data Collectors.
  • Ability to perform detailed data collection for Topographic surveys sufficient for engineering design.
  • Ability to work remotely under rigorous conditions for long term assignments is required.
  • PennDOT right-of-way, construction staking and as-built survey experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Carlson Survey Controller, Trimble Access, Leica LGO, Carlson SurvCE software a plus.

Staff Geotechnical Specialist:

An individual who is PennDOT Level II certified and/or Engineer-in-training preferred.




Civil Engineer:

Experienced Civil Engineer with transportation design experience.

Qualifications must include a minimum of a Pennsylvania PE with 6 to 10 years of experience on Department of Transportation projects. Responsibilities will include design and project oversight, and performing QA/QC.




Project Geotechnical Engineer:

Experienced Project Geotechnical Engineer.

A B.S. degree in civil/geotechnical engineering is required with an M.S. preferred. Must have current PE license in PA. Experience with PennDOT projects is preferred. Some field work/travel required. Knowledge of geotechnical computer applications for slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, pile analysis, etc. is required, as is knowledge of PennDOT geotechnical report preparation. Project management and development, oversight and reporting; client liaison; and project team coordination required, along with strong oral and written communication skills.
